| 11th ANNUAL SCAVENGER HUNT FOR BIRTHRIGHT TO BE HOSTED AT CALVARY PENTECOSTAL TABERNACLE (JUST WEST OF WAL-MART) |

On Saturday June 14th, HWFAC will sponsor the 11th Annual Scavenger Hunt for Birthright. Each year on Father's Day Weekend we hold this event in support of the very necessary work of Birthright in providing pro-life counseling, articles of clothing and toiletries, emotional support and much more to Hamilton's young women who experience unplanned pregnancy. Last year, in one morning alone, 526.5 pounds of infant and maternity clothing and articles were collected along with $965 in cash for a total of 1491.5 points. The articles collected on this single weekend each year typically provides 6 months of supply and thus is a crucial event. HWFAC is pleased to announce that the host church will be Calvary Pentecostal Church in Ancaster which is their second time hosting in these 11 years. We encourage you to begin to now to consider the following articles you may have around which you no longer use which could be brought to the Scavenger Hunt: baby clothes, diapers, baby toiletries (shampoos, soaps etc.), baby bottles, formula maternity clothes, and financial contributions. Please no furnishings, car seats, strollers, toys or baby powder. If you do not have such articles in your home, speak to others who may and would like to see them go to a pro-life agency. These articles are always given to mothers in need and never re-sold. Another great idea for collecting is to attend garage sales around noon and offer to take away for free any of the above items while letting them know that you are scavenging for Birthright. Have your Church collect as much you can. Perhaps place all the goods in a play pen or two in the Church foyer and encourage people to help your Church bring the heaviest load to the Scavenger Hunt on Saturday June 14 at 11:00. The weigh-in starts at 11:00, the barbecue is at noon following which will be a short message from Birthright.
