Same-Sex Unions - Perverse Judges
- Wicked Rulers
The Battle is Not Over Until the Trumpet Sounds
July, 2003
On June 10, 2003, a three-judge panel of the Ontario Court of Appeal set aside democratic
process and re-defined the legal definition of marriage to be, " the voluntary union
for life of two persons to the exclusion of all others, " and ordered the Registrar
General for Ontario to issue marriage licenses to gay and lesbian couples. One week following,
on June17, Prime Minister Chretien and Minister of Justice Cauchon announced that the
Federal Government will not appeal this ruling. The ruling of the Court and the
announcement of the Prime Minister defy the Canadian Democratic process and ignore the fact
the Federal Justice Committee had just completed 3 months of public hearings across Canada,
listening to Canadians on precisely this topic. HWFAC participated in these hearings in
Toronto and came out clearly the victor, presenting solid inarguable evidence, despite
numerous efforts of one MP to twist statements and minimize the serious issues presented
by HWFAC.
The underlying argument to all of this seems to be that it is about equality. Those that
cling to this argument, however, refuse to look at the factual evidence that clearly
shows that same-sex unions are not in any way equal to marriage. As presented to the
Federal Justice Committee, Marriage contributes distinct value to society which no other
relationship can and as such is worthy of distinction and special status.
3 Areas Where Marriage is Distinct from Same-Sex Unions:
- Marriage is distinct from same-sex unions in conjugality. No other conjugal act is
natural or equal. Any court or parliament that declares unnatural conjugal acts to be equal
to the conjugal act of marriage does so in error.
- Marriage is distinct from same-sex unions in procreation. Female anatomy was designed,
then created to naturally receive the male semen, permit egg fertilization and ultimately
create new life, children.
- Marriage is distinct from same-sex unions in providing the best environment in which to
raise children. Marriage historically, and today remains to be the best environment in which
to raise children. No amount of politically-correct social engineering or equal rights
amendments will ever change that.
These are 3 vital and positive aspects of marriage, which set it apart from same-sex unions
and show that marriage has a continuing value to society.
3 Areas Where Same-Sex Unions are Distinct from Marriage:
- Same-sex unions are distinct from marriage as evidenced in the substantially higher
incidence rates of sexually transmitted diseases associated with same-sex unions when
compared to marriage. Same-sex unions are directly associated with substantially higher
incidence rates of sexually-transmitted diseases including AIDS/HIV, hepatitis and
gonorrhea of the throat, to name only a few.
- Same-sex unions are distinct from marriage emotionally as evidenced in the significantly
higher rates of emotional disorders when compared to marriage. Same-sex unions are directly
associated with substantially higher incidence rates of emotional disorders including
compulsive behaviors, binge drinking, alcoholism and suicide to name only a few.
- Same-sex unions are distinct from marriage spiritually as evidenced in the Holy Bible.
Same-sex unions in the Holy Bible are described as shameful lusts, unnatural relations and
perversions which are subject to due penalty to be received in the body and eternal damnation
of the soul. No human rights tribunal can ever change that.
These are 3 vital and negative aspects of same-sex unions, which set them apart from marriage
and show that same-sex unions have a continuing negative value to society.
The Hamilton-Wentworth Family Action Council agrees with Justice LaForest of the Supreme Court
of Canada when writing for the majority in the Egan decision as follows:
"Marriage has from time immemorial been firmly grounded in our legal tradition, one that is itself a reflection of long-standing philosophical and religious traditions. But its ultimate raison d'etre transcends all of these and is firmly anchored in the biological and social realities that heterosexual couples have the unique ability to procreate, that most children are the product of these relationships, and they are generally cared for and nurtured by those who live in that relationship. In this sense, Marriage is by nature heterosexual…because of its importance, legal marriage may properly be viewed as fundamental to the stability and well-being of the family and, as such, Parliament may quite properly give special support to the institution of Marriage."
Those who value Marriage must speak up loud and do it now. Remember we are to run the good race, put up the good fight until the trumpet sounds. What effect is salt if it loses its saltiness; what good is a light if hidden under the bushel?

What Can Be Done to Stop the Legalization
of Same-Sex Unions in Canada?
- Humble yourself and pray (2 Chronicles 7:14). Let's not fool ourselves; apart from God's
intervention, same-sex unions will become a reality.
- Seek God's anointing (1 Samuel 10:6). Little if anything effective will happen in our own
strength. Pray for God's anointing to empower you.
- Apply the Anointing (1 Samuel 10:7). What purpose does it serve to receive God's anointing
power if we fail to apply it?
Phone your Federal M.P. (listed below) and express strongly your opposition to the legalization
of same-sex unions. Perhaps consider some of the points already expressed earlier in this
newsletter or better yet, present your own personal views. When callilng, ask to speak personally
with your M.P. When speaking with your MP, request a personal appointment to sit with them and
discuss this issue. If the personal appointment is denied, continue to call back until it is
granted.
